Basic MetaStock Chart Setup

Make sure you change the default Price Style from Line to Bar (high, low, close).  This is done by right clicking the mouse on the chart price data then clicking Properties for the data as shown below. ETS requires this price data (open, high, low, close) to perform it calculations so the system by definition will NOT work on a 1-Tick Periodicity.  So change the Periodicity from 1-Tick to an X-minute or Daily Chart.  You can also check the box "Apply to all price styles" so all your new charts will open with this default setting.

Also when applying the ETS Template, check the box for "Replace existing chart". This will prevent a new window from opining without the template and you will have less clutter on your MetaStock workspaces ('Layouts').
